October half-term activities
Keeping children entertained throughout the October half-term should no longer fill parents with dread, as Watford Council has teamed up with Apex Multisports and organised a week of sporting activities for children during the week-long break.
For £2 per day (10am - 3pm) children can enjoy a wide range of sports supervised by qualified, fully CRB checked coaches. Activities can include speed stacking, tri-golf, dodge ball, basketball, football and tag rugby. The activities take place in structured sessions at King George V playing fields on Tolpits Lane and no experience of any of the sports is necessary.
Children need to bring a packed lunch, wet weather clothing and wear trainers. Half term runs from Monday 26 October until Friday 30 October – if booking for all five days, a 20 per cent discount applies, and the cost will be just £8 per child per week.
