Bushey Heath councillor quits

Posted by news desk in Local News, 26th October 2009, 4:22pm

Councillor Anne Swerling has resigned from her post as ward councillor for Bushey Heath for personal reasons.

Hertsmere’s chief executive Donald Graham received a letter of resignation from Mrs Swerling on Monday 19 October.

In it, she said:“My reason is purely personal and at this time my family must come first.”

A by-election for her seat is expected and a date for this will be announced shortly. Mrs Swerling was a Conservative councillor and was elected to Hertsmere Borough Council in May 2007.

Constituents in this ward who wish to contact a local councillor can instead contact other councillors for Bushey Heath, councillors Brenda Batten or Seamus Quilty, or any other local councillor.

Details of all councillors and their contact details are available on the website at www.hertsmere.gov.uk or by telephoning 020 8207 2277.
