British themed exhibition for charity DRUM
A new Best of British art exhibition by attendees of a charity that offers day services and support for adults with physical or sensory disabilities, has opened up in The Visual Arts Centre, Watford Grammar School for Girls.
Disability Recreation Unity Movement (DRUM) is a small Watford-based charity that helps visitors to develop their creative side. The Best of British exhibition is a celebration of anything that is, or at least was, quintessentially British. Work within the collection includes paintings of a British Bulldog, the Queen and the Mini car.
The majority of DRUM members were not born with a disbaility but developed one through an accident or illness such as a Stroke or MS. The charity is open from 9am to 3pm on a Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday in Watford and on a Wednesday at the Hartspring Community Centre, Bushey.
